The Makers
Fueguita products is made slowly, by a small group of artisans across Guatemala. Every garment is chosen carefully, every design decided together, every stitch placed by hand.
Doña Irma
Seamstress Team
Antigua, Guatemala
When a shirt arrives from the pacas, Irma is the first to look at it. She checks the condition, and together we decide - does it stay as a shirt, or does it become something else? If it stays, she sews the label. If it becomes a kimono, shorts, or a dress, she starts cutting. Every transformation passes through her hands.
Iraida and her team
Hand Embroidery Team
Chichicastenango, Guatemala
Once the garments arrive in Chichicastenango, Iraida takes over. She delegates the work across her team and makes sure every piece meets the same standard. She also covers the small imperfections that come with secondhand fabric — tiny damages hidden under a stitch, turned into something intentional.
Sarolta Kovach
Founder
El Paredon, Guatemala
Saci is involved from the beginning to the end. She goes to the pacas, chooses the garments, makes the designs, picks the colours, and follows every step of the way - from the secondhand pile to the store shelf.
